The G.I.T.D. Ceramic FireStriker is a simple tool for your fire kit that can be easily located in the dark.

It is small in size at just (5/8” x 7/8”) with a (1/8”) hole for cord.

The FireStriker is made from Alumina Ceramic, a high-strength material with excellent mechanical strength.

Alumina Ceramic is second in hardness only behind diamonds on the Mohs scale.

In other words, this stuff is legit tough, and it throws a wicked spark.

We’ve added our signature glow on one side to make the striker easier to locate and use in the dark. And because everything is better when it glows.

These are meant to be used with a ferro rod to create a spark for starting a fire.

Hold the FireStriker in your non-dominant hand with the glow side facing up.
With the ferro rod in your other hand, place an edge of the striker at the top of the rod at about a 45 degree angle.
Pull the ferro rod back towards you in one smooth quick motion, keeping the striker still with its edge on the rod.

Make sure the striker stays in contact down the entire length of the ferro rod. It may take a couple of tries for the sparks to start flying, but when they do they’ll really fly.
